Is there any surprise when Anderson Cooper made the observation that of all the politicians who he asked about whether they plan to run for President Ron Paul had the most honest answer!
That is one of the differences between a statesman and a politician - truthfulness!
It is not just about that simple question that Ron Paul speaks truthfully, but every single issue - foreign policy, civil liberties, monetary issues, partisan politics, corruption in government, constitutional government, etc.
Ron Paul speaks truthfully from a philosophical knowledge base of classical liberalism (as a scholar) while all the rest (politicians = ego-driven interventionists) speak rhetorically trying to avoid saying anything about anything since they do not know what is right or wrong.
