But because governments benefit from, and love the inherent corruption that results from Keynesian economics and since part of the Keynesian impetus lead to the taking over the education system there is a gigantic void in economic education.
For several generations the education systems around the world propagated the economic fallacies of Keynesianism. Students learned what they were taught and then they taught the next generation and the consequence has been universal economic ignorance. In a tragic nutshell, Keynesian economics is economic quackery.
The worldwide economic mess is the product of Keynesianism and the ones trying to fix the mess are Keynesian quacks. That is all they know. And people believe them because if they have any economic 'education' they, too, know only about Keynesian economics.
